So today Gary, Valerie, Erin and Grace chartered the "Scallywag" for a day of trolling the Emerald Coast. The two youngest girls (Erin and Grace) were excited about their first saltwater fishing adventure. We came through the pass and immediately put out two lines; one on top and one further back about 3 feet under the surface. Right away there was a hit; "FISH ON" everyone yelled! Gary jumped to the back of the boat and grabbed the rod. The fish ran out and then directly toward the boat. A nice smoker king mackerel was landed just minutes later. Nice - a keeper in the first 5 minutes. Then, not 5 minute later the 2nd rod screams. Erin took control and muscled in a nice Bonita. We trolled a bit further toward the East and before we knew it we were into some more. This time, it was the youngest (Grace) that took the reigns. With no help at all, Grace faught the fish all the way to the boat - a nice Spanish Mackerel for the cooler. A front moved in and the fishing slowed for a bit. We switched gears and headed West of the pass and within an hour we were back in em. WHAM - fish on! Valerie rushed to the stern and reeled in another nice spanish mackerel. Everyone caught fish! The girls were real troopers and managed to land quite a few fish throughout the half day trip. Here are the totals:

(6) Spanish Mackerel
(1) King Mackerel
(2) Bonita
