Lately, I have been working the Choctawhatchee Bay in search of Speckled Trout and Red Fish. On days that I have not had charters, Dave Lauterbach (1st mate) and I have not wasted a minute trying new areas to fish. My goal is to maximize the customer's time on the water so that they go home wanting more and have memories to last a lifetime; that is what it is all about - that is when you truly become "hooked!" Lately, we have spent hours combing the grass beds and researching the tidal currents so that my customers are always in the best spots. We have been trying unconventional lures and combinations to target these elusive fish and have become quite successful in doing so. We have found some really neat areas over the past few weeks as well. One morning in particular, we had whitetail deer feeding around us on a nearby island while we reeled in keeper Trout; unbelievable! I am dedicated to the success of my customers and will stop at nothing to assure their time on the water is a positive experience. The season is FAR from over! In fact, my favorite month to fish is just beyond the horizon; October. During the month of October, the temperature drops just enough to allow for a cool morning breeze and the water temp hovers around 80 degrees. This year, rumor has it that Snapper may come back in season during October so don't wait. Call me today to secure your private fishing trip with Gulf-Angler Charters!     Tight Lines - Capt.
